	12/29/06 - Vendor Move-in information - All trade show, swap meet and car corral vendor move-in will take place on Friday, January 19, 2007 from 9 am - 7 pm. Trailers are to be moved in on Thursday afternoon between 3 and 4 p.m. Call for any further information. All vendors must report to registration at the front of the exhibition hall to pick up your badges BEFORE beginning the move-in process.

	12/28/06 - Car Corral new this year . . . For the first time ever, the World Drag Racing Expo has room to include a car corral to sell your car. For only $100, you get space to display your car only. Spend the weekend shining, showing and selling face to face with the 6000 racers through the front door. 	12/14/06 - Do YOU have your Illinois tax number yet... - All exhibitors who plan to sell and deliver merchandise paid for at the show will need to complete an Exhibitor Approval Application. You will need to provide an Illinois Business tax number. Please complete the form and return it to the address or fax number at the top of the application. This needs to be returned to the Expo center at least one week before the show. If you do not have an Illinois tax number and need to obtain one, it only takes 1-2 days to get one online at the Secretary of State's business department located at: https://www.revenue.state.il.us/app/ibri *the sales tax rate for Schaumburg in Dupage County is 8.75%



	11/30/06 - Make your hotel reservations online - The Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center has provided a group code for Expo attendees to use when making your reservations online. Click on the link below to reserve your room for the World Drag Expo at the discounted rate. You'll need to enter worwora in the group code for one or two people or worworb for three or four people per room. 	11/15/06 - New Schaumburg Convention Center is non-union hall - Contrary to rumors being bandied around about the Schaumburg Convention Center being a union hall, it is non-union, and exhibitors are welcome to move in their own displays and inventory on move-in day via the loading docks and ramps in the back of the center.

	9/1/06 - Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel is official hotel of the World Drag Expo - The beautiful newly built Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel is connected to the Schaumburg Convention Center and has signed on as the official hotel for the show. They are providing Expo rates of $119.00 for a 2 person room (no resort fees this year). Call 1-800-HOTELS-1 or call the direct line at 847-303-4100 for the special rate. You must mention the World Drag Expo in order to receive the discounted rate. Enjoy the lobby lounge, Sam and Harry's Restaurant, indoor pool and whirlpool and onsite fitness center. Located within one mile of the Woodfield Mall area with shopping, 88 restaurants, ESPNZone indoor racing and nearby indoor water park. Rate expires December 28, 2006.

	9/1/06 2006 Trailer parking permits - The Schaumburg Convention Center wants the attendees of the show to have plenty of parking on the grounds to come in to the show and buy from the exhibitors. Therefore, they do not allow any trailer parking on the parking lot of the Convention Center for businesses, swappers, or car corral exhibitors. 24 hour security will be provided at two fenced in marshalling yards off-site. You must pick up a marshalling yard permit at no extra charge from the registration desk on move-in day. 	Need something from your trailer during the show? A shuttle driver with a van will be available at any time during all show hours throughout the weekend if you need a ride to the marshalling yard on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. The lot will be locked with no access during all overnight hours and will reopen one hour before the show and one hour after the show each day. You must show a permit to match your trailer permit in order to be allowed access to the lot.
