1/13/07 - Bret Kepner Bracket Racing Seminars
Call him "Mr. Dirt", ESPN personality or even Bret Kepner, but never call him when he owes you money. That's right, Bret Kepner is back for 2007 for his famed "Mr. Dirt on Bracket Racing" seminars on both Saturday and Sunday of the expo. The Saturday seminar will focus on dissecting your race car for better bracket racing while the Sunday seminar will dissect a racers driving habits. Make sure to make plans to attend many of the popular racers seminars that are free to expo attendees with paid admission.

1/13/07 - DragstersForSale.com teams with Killer Rons
Longtime World Drag Expo exhibitor Ron’s Fuel Injection will once again be in attendance this year’s show. 1/11/07 - Rislone to Present Chi-Town Hustler Display
The Bars Leaks and Rislone companies will be displaying the legendary recreation of the Chi-Town Hustler 1972 Charger Funny Car. Troy Martin, the racer and craftsman behind the nostalgia Funny Car will be on hand as with the display. "My best accomplishment has definitely been restoring and driving the 1973 Chi-Town Hustler Nitro Funny," says Martin, make sure to check out the terrific display of hardcore race cars throughout the huge new convention center.

1/11/07 - Route 66 Raceway Display
Route 66 Raceway will have their yearly display to promote their 2007 season schedule along with a large amount of specialty hand-outs and prizes such as posters, computer games and other specialty items from the raceways special events. The track will be talking to racers about their expanded drag racing schedule along with other special programs that will be new this year such as Midwest Super Comp Series events along with special theme nights related to their expanded Tuesday race programs.

1/11/07 - Midwest Super Comp Series Display
The fun loving bunch from The Midwest Super Comp Series will have their display and great practice tree shootouts for all of the Expo fans in 2007. Make sure to pick up the 2007 season schedule and talk to any of the group representatives if you are a fan of 8.90 competition. MSCS will also have their booth filled with apparel and calendars for sale for fund raising support the series efforts. During our meetings with the fine hosts at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center, we mentioned "stocking up" the bar for the huge racer bench racing sessions during the Friday and Saturday evening during the show... their response? "Oh, we've heard of the Midwest Super Comp Series guys."

1/11/07 - R&R Racing Products to Feature New Line of Rods
R&R Racing Products will have their proven line of aluminum connecting rods and will also feature their new line of Chromoly Steel Connecting rods at the Expo. Yes, It may be overly obvious the Drag News Magazine will have their big display at the Expo, but make sure to swing by and say hi to magazine staffers Sandra Bowsher and Emily Weber (We promised them we would make them famous) The annual subscription special, the girls will be making deals with Drag News Apparel spread.

1/11/07 - And while you stop by the Drag News Booth
Along with picking up the Drag News annual subscription specials at the show, you can also drop off latest news for your racing team for 2007. The pair will have their reporter pads in hand to take your information for new racing combinations, make sure to bring photos or get Sandra's e-mail address to mail photos (just don't ask for her phone number). All of the racers submitting their "what's new for 07" will also be eligible for a CC-Flyer Motorsports/Tuffpaw prize package that will be drawn in June 2007 from all of our submitting racers.

1/11/07 - Vendor Move-In on Friday ONLY
ALL trade show, swap meet and car corral vendor move-in will take place on Friday, January 19, 2007 from 9 am through 6 pm. There is NO move-in on Saturday morning, other than last minute items that may be hand-carried through the front door. Trailers are to be moved in on Thursday afternoon between 3 and 4 p.m. Call (800) 816-8382 for any further information. 1/11/07 - Top Sportsman Henry J Display
Remember When Racing to display their unique Top Sportsman Henry J. The picture perfect hot rod of Dave Granger and John Wiley will be part of the extensive display of race cars available for your visual enjoyment at the Expo. Make sure to allow a little time among the hundreds of manufacturers and hundreds of swap booths to take a look at some of the racing hardware on display.

1/10/07 - Battery Service Display to feature cordless LED work light.
In the "Why didn't I think of that" category, one of the featured items in the Battery Service Corporation display (booth 117) will be their new line of rechargeable cordless LED work lights. This super bright 60 LED work-light can be recharged either by 110AC or 12V DC. It comes with a swivel hanging hook and a magnetic mount. 1/6/07 - Tami Eggleston Seminars featured again at Expo
One of the most popular seminar speakers at each annual Expo is Tami Eggleston. Known for her popular "Think 2 Win" article series in Drag News Magazine, Tami is an associate professor of psychology at McKendree College. 1/4/07 - Altronics to feature new cooling system controller
Altronics now has available the SimpleTemp Cooling System Controller which they will feature in their 20 foot display at the World Drag Expo. The inside word is that the "Hipster" himself we be on hand at the ATD booths this year to also talk to racers about new expanded 10" converter technology out of ATD and the advantages for a very expanded application benefit list for many Super Class and Bracket Racers.

1/4/07 - Cedar Falls and Eddyville join Cordova at Drag News Expo
Now that Cedar Falls Raceway (Cedar Falls, IA) and Eddyville Raceway Park (Oskaloosa, IA) have common ownership linking them together, they will join Cordova Dragway Park (Cordova, IL) at the Drag News Magazine Drag Expo.

"We are working on and should have a multi-track program announced at the Expo" said Scott Gardner. "We have been working on something special and the Expo is a great place to debut it" he continued.

Also new for 2007 is the change in sanction to the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). With this change, Cordova Dragway Park will host a popular Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Event in August and Eddyville Raceway Park will host a NHRA National Open in May.

Another feature of the Cordova, Eddyville, Cedar Falls peninsula will be the Ford Mustang drag car charity project for Jake Littrell. This 10 - second car was built for a former Cordova Dragway employee, Jake Littrell, who lost his battle with cancer. See more on Jake and his family story in this Quad City Times story. Jake passed away at 17 years-old and never raced the car as it wasn't completed until after his passing by a number of racing companies and craftsmen that constructed a first class race car in his honor. All proceeds from the $100 raffle tickets will be provided to the family to help offset medical bills.

1/2/07 - Pro Glass to Display Featured Cars
Pro Glass Windows will have a pair of featured cars in their peninsula display at the World Drag Expo. They will feature a Dodge Pro/Stock pick-up featuring some of their unique window work along with a wild Supercharged Studebaker. The display will also feature some of their new Lexan window creations for the New Mustangs, Corvette body designs and windows for the new Cynergy Camaro and Firebird body designs.

12/29/06 - TuffPaw to Feature New Cabinet Designs -
TuffPaw Aluminum Racing Products has developed 3 new racing trailer cabinet designs they will feature in their 30 foot retail display at the World Drag Expo. 12/14/06 - Do YOU have your Illinois tax number yet... -
All exhibitors who plan to sell and deliver merchandise paid for at the show will need to complete an Exhibitor Approval Application. You will need to provide an Illinois Business tax number. Please complete the form and return it to the address or fax number at the top of the application. This needs to be returned to the Expo center at least one week before the show.

If you do not have an Illinois tax number and need to obtain one, it only takes 1-2 days to get one online at the Secretary of State's business department located at: https://www.revenue.state.il.us/app/ibri

11/30/06 - Make your hotel reservations online -
